Privacy notice
The short version: this site collects almost nothing, because the safest place for your credit file information is not on our server.
Version 2026-08-04.1 · Effective August 4, 2026
What we do not collect
- Nothing from the letter builder. It runs in your browser. What you type into it is never transmitted to us and never stored on any server we control.
- No accounts. There is no login, no password, and no profile.
- No credit bureau credentials. No field on this site accepts them.
- No uploaded documents. The site does not accept file uploads.
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no external fonts. Nothing on these pages loads from another company's server.
- No Social Security numbers. The intake form has no field for one, and the server rejects a submission that appears to contain one rather than storing it.
What we do collect, and only when you send it
| When | What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| You submit a conflict check (step 1) | Name, email, phone, county, bureaus involved, companies you name, and whether you have already disputed | So a law firm can check for conflicts of interest | Madgett Law, LLC, and our own encrypted record of the transfer |
| You authorize a transfer (step 2) | Only the items you check, plus your description if you check that item | So the firm can evaluate a possible FCRA matter | Madgett Law, LLC, and our own record of what you authorized |
| You contact support | Name, email, topic, message | To answer you | Our support queue. Never the law firm |
| Any page view | Standard server and security logs, including IP address | Security, abuse prevention, and keeping the site up | Our hosting and security provider |
What we never do
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone's advertising.
- We do not send anything to a law firm unless you fill out the request yourself. Reading pages, building a letter, or downloading a template transmits nothing.
- We do not use what you tell us to train any model.
- We do not share anything with credit monitoring providers, and we receive no payment from them.
- We do not receive anything back from the law firm about your matter.
How long we keep it
| Record | Retention |
|---|---|
| Conflict-check packet and transfer authorization | Kept as a record of what was transferred and what you consented to. Deleted on verified request, except where a legal or professional obligation requires the firm to retain its own copy — which is the firm's record under the firm's policy, not ours. |
| Step-2 links | Expire automatically after 30 days, and stop working once used. |
| Support messages | Deleted on verified request. |
| Security and audit logs | Retained on a documented schedule for security purposes, with sensitive content excluded. |
Getting a copy or having it deleted
Ask through support and include the reference number from your receipt. We will verify that the request is really from you before acting on it.
One limit worth being clear about: once you authorize a transfer, Madgett Law, LLC has its own copy, held under its own obligations as a law firm. We cannot delete the firm's records, and deleting ours does not delete theirs. Contact the firm directly about its copy.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it, and access to the law firm's intake records is separate from access to the consumer side — Credit File Corrections staff cannot open the firm's intake records, and the firm cannot browse our support queue. Transfers, consents, and access are logged.
No system is perfect. If something goes wrong, we have a written incident-response plan and will notify affected people as required.
Children
This site is for adults dealing with their own credit files. It is not directed to children.
Changes
This notice is versioned. When it changes materially the version number changes, and every consent receipt records the version that was in effect when you gave it, so you can always tell what you actually agreed to.
